Eva Books Cassy’s Tale

Cassy’s Tale is a story about a cassowary chick from the moment she hatches.  Accompanied by her proud and loving father she enjoys the first steps in her life.

Joyfully she learns to walk and discovers her powerful legs as she jumps to catch a butterfly.

Dad shows Cassy how to push through dense rainforest and takes the opportunity to explain about the destruction caused by cyclones.  Now the rainforest has grown back again and she is happily following a trail of colourful berries.

The illustrations include pythons, green tree frogs, a frogmouth owl, Rainbow lorikeet, a flying fox, Cairns Birdwing and Ulysses butterflies, a King Fisher and Sulphur Crested cockatoo as well as many tropical rainforest plants including the Licuala Palms.
